The Fox Chapel Junior Tennis Open was held last week and the outstanding tennis was accentuated by Mother Nature’s cooperation.
“We had great weather, good turnouts every day and some terrific tennis,” tournament chairman Tom Benic said. “We had a nice share of local winners, too.”
Claiming championships were Neil Bencherif of Fox Chapel in the boys 16 bracket and Shady Side Academy sophomore Devin Gramley in the girls 16 group. Jared Nord of Fox Chapel was the runner-up in the boys 14 bracket.
