Ben Friedland, a sophomore at Fox Chapel, has been skating since he was 3 and playing hockey since he was 4.
All of that experience showed last week as Friedland had two goals and three assists in a winning effort against Central Catholic.
He also scored in a loss to Butler.
For his efforts, Friedland, who also plays on the Fox Chapel lacrosse team, has been named The Herald Athlete of the Week.
