Fox Chapel had a steep hill to climb in the WPIAL playoffs, but coach Zach Skrinjar thinks the state playoffs will be even steeper — as in Powers Run Road steep.
After a couple of days off following a loss in the WPIAL semifinals, the Foxes (16-9) hit the reset button and are ready to begin the PIAA playoffs. They open the Class AAAA state bracket at noon Saturday against City League champion Allderdice (23-2) at Obama Academy.
Allderdice beat Fox Chapel, 65-45, in the third game of the regular season.
