Less than a year from now, Brandon Mitchell hopes he’ll be busy stepping over tacklers on a college football field.
Only in the past 12 months did it dawn on Mitchell, a Fox Chapel senior, that showcasing his ability to step over hurdles at high speed might help his recruitment.
Another PIAA track and field medal in hurdling might create more paths to college football for Mitchell, whose future plans remain undetermined.
