It’s an accomplishment for any school to produce one district champion, but Fox Chapel produced two in one day.
Sophomore Anthony Cordaro won the WPIAL Class AAA golf championship Thursday. While he was making a clutch par save on the first playoff hole and getting a congratulatory handshake from Arnold Palmer at Latrobe Country Club, junior Laurel Shymansky and freshman Amanda Nord were putting the finishing touches on a WPIAL Class AAA tennis doubles title at Shady Side Academy.
