The Fox Chapel Area High School Cheerleaders are holding an upcoming toy drive to bring cheer to kids at Children’s Hospital of UPMC.
The toy drive will take place at Fox Chapel Area High School on Friday, December 11, before and during the girls’ and boys’ varsity basketball games. The teams will play Franklin Regional High School. The girls will play at 6 p.m., while the boys’ game has a 7:30 p.m. tip off.
Individuals who donate toys will have ticket prices reduced to $3 for adults and $1 for students. Donated toys must be new and unwrapped in the original packaging.
The following week, the 24-member cheerleading team will visit Children’s Hospital of UPMC to distribute the toys and watch a movie with patients. The group will also put on a short performance for the children.
