Students Sign to Play Sports at College Level

Several Fox Chapel Area High School student athletes recently signed and committed to Division I and Division II colleges and universities. The students are: Kelsey Feeney – Softball – University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, Elias Graca – Cross Country – University of Pennsylvania, Katherine “Cleary” Johnston – Crew – Mercyhurst University, Miranda Simon – Diving – George Washington University, Carrington Vaughn – Football – University of Arizona, Megan Walkowski – Softball – Florida State College at Jacksonville, and Jaysen Zaleski – Volleyball – Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne. Additionally, the following students have signed with Division III schools: David Brown – Football – John Carroll University, Isabella Bungo – Softball – Thiel College, Cullen Higgins – Football – St. Vincent, and Billy Urso – Basketball –Allegheny College.

The students were recognized for their efforts and they and their families were invited to a reception at the high school April 24. Additionally, the athletic department announced that four other high school students will play sports for Division II and Division III schools. They are Noah Cagley – Swimming – Tufts University, Franny Dean –Swimming – Williams College, and Ben DePellegrini and Max DePellegrini – Volleyball – Penn State Behrend.
