Bound and determined to extend its season, Fox Chapel gave highly touted Allderdice all it could handle before finally succumbing to the two-time defending City League champions in a tension-filled PIAA playoff opener.
Fox Chapel cut a 12-point deficit to four in the second half but couldn’t regain an early lead and fell 57-46 in a Class AAAA first-round game Saturday afternoon at Obama Academy.
