Dave Prevost has been coaching tennis at Fox Chapel for the last 35 years.
He decided a few years ago that his 35th year would be his last. Prevost coached both the boys and girls teams for 19 years before concentrating solely on the boys’ team.
He leaves behind an impressive resume. He won nine section championships with the girls and 16 with the boys. He produced two WPIAL singles champs and also two WPIAL doubles champions to go along with two teams that were WPIAL runners-up.
At the PIAA level, Prevost’s teams had several second-, third- and fourth-place finishers in individual competition and teams that made it to the state quarterfinals. He coached many talented players along the way.
