The Section 3-AAA wrestling championships were held at Fox Chapel High School on Saturday, and the Foxes had four wrestlers reach the championship round.
At 170 pounds, FC’s Derrin Dietz lost 2-0 to Christian Sequette of Butler. Mike Mahon fell at 182 to Jake Woodley of North Allegheny by a 10-1 score. At 195, FC’s Zach Carcy lost 6-0 to NA’s Francis Duggan, and Jared Pegher fell to North Hills’ Sean Bright at 285.
The Foxes’ Andrew Kopco finished fourth at 126, Austin Pisano was sixth at 138, Billy Myers finished fifth at 145 and Tristan Houser was fourth at 160.
The top five finishers in each weight class advanced to the WPIAL/Southwest Regional Class AAA tournament Friday and Saturday at Penn Hills.
